Standards for sponsored copy
Sponsored articles follow the same rules as everything else on the site. Numbers come with their assumptions, legal points cite a source, and the piece has to be useful to a founder who never buys the sponsor’s product. The editors may cut or rewrite claims that can’t be supported.
Labeling
Each sponsored article is marked “Sponsored” at the top of the page, and paid links use rel="sponsored nofollow". Partner slots in lists are labeled and judged against the list’s published criteria.
